M.I.A. is down with Q
Maya Arulpragasam, better known as M.I.A., is riding high with her Clash-sampling top 10 hit “Paper Planes,” which has since been sampled by T.I. in “Swagger Like Us,” on his chart-topping album Paper Trail.
A few years before her breakout success, M.I.A. sampled Quincy’s “Sanford and Son Theme” in the track “Uraqt,” which is featured on the bonus track edition of her 2005 debut album Arular.
